The Roman Catholic "Faith"

Thus page is aimed at exposing the true nature of the roman catholic system. (evidently, I am till working on it)

First an important note:

I want to expose the roman catholic SYSTEM for what it is, and the people who stil desire to be a part of it once they know what the core and root of it are about, but I have no desire to hurt people, in fact on the contrary. I hope some people may find freedom from the oppression of it, and that the evil fruits of adhering to that the doctrines of that system may be clearly proven to come from different god then the God which wants to be loved, and who wants people to love one another, instead of bringing them under all kinds of bondage.

So I will be unpolitical about the content of what can so clearly be seen, but I want there to be hope instead of bringing more misery, so I don't see it as a purpose to break people, it is the SYSTEM I'm talking about.

There are a lot of religious groups and systems around that are clearly not related to the believes that were shared by new (or old) testament believers as we can read about in our bibles. There is one major system that claims to be not just one, but even THE true faith in terms of fullfilling what is written in the bible, and that is the Roman Catholic system. This page offers some considerations to defy that claim, and to expose that system for what it is, both on historical and straightforward biblical grounds.

Lets start with the very basis of biblical statements about faith, that can be found in Exodus 20:1 "And God spoke all these words, saying: I am the Lord thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

  1. Thou shalt have no other Gods before me
  2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is
  3. in heaven above
  4. or in the earth beneath
  5. or that is in the water that is under the earth, and
  6. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:

for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."

Now that's the highest commandment there is, confirmed by Jesus, and it is stated in a pretty clear manner. Let's go over the main points in short and observe wether roman catholic behaviour is in lne with this.

  1. The amount of gods that are acknowledged and worshipped by the roman catholic system is almost innumerable, there is virtually no pagan god that hasn't been incorporated in it. Name a single Babylonian or Roman god, and you'll find an equivalent one in the RC system, right until today.
  2. That's an obvious one: walk into any RC church, building, village or home, and you will find images and sculptures of Mary (see further on this page), Jesus, etc.
  3. There are numerous pictures of angels and the likes of them (at least as they are presented in the RC system, because the bible doesn't support the view of baby-like small creatures with fluffy wings)
  4. Thousands of human beings are actually worshipped (the 'Saints')
  5. You'll find many ornaments with creatures from under the earth,
  6. and the key point: every RC believer and priest greets and bows to the images (at least that of mary, see further on), and prayers and rites of service are available in abundace and excercised continuously.

Please take good notice of the fact that this is the first and highest commandment, expressing Gods will concering men's relationship towards Him. If we would be talking about the human inter-relations, it could be argued that in the NT the conditions have changed (for instance the sacrifices have been abolished because Jesus became the perfect and eternal sacrifice), but NT itself is perfectly clear about this commendment: Jesus Himelf mentions it as the highest commandment. Also in the "times of the gentiles" (after the resurrection) this commandment is clearly still fully operational: James 4:4 "adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that the friendship with the world(*) is emnity with God? Whoever then purposes to be a friend of the world is shown to be an enemy with God. Or do you think that vainly scripture sais: 'The spirit which has dwelt in us yearns with envy'..."

So we have a system that violates, right down to detail, every part of the highest commandment that the God they claim to worship has givem, and which is still operational. And on top of that, they do it continuously, often daily, in an institutionalized form, and every priest and every single believer in it they teach to do the same.

What about Mary?

Lets start with what the bible itself has to say about the position of Mary, the natural mother of Jesus. In fact, let's find out what she herself has to say about that, in for instance Luke 1:38 "...a servant of the Lord...". The greek word used here to indicate what Mary calls herself with respect to Jesus is 'doulos' which indeed simply means a bond slave, nothing very glorious, just as we don't see a single NT writer start their epistle with 'thank be to God and His Holy Mother' or something like that. And there is no reason why she would be an exception to the first and highest commandment as stated above.

So where does this mother of God thing come from?

Another interesting question in this respect is why the elledged mother of Jesus is portraied as she is: with blond hair, blue eyes, a tiny nose, and frail figure? Considering she is the mother of Jesus, she should be about as Jewish as they get, with strong black hair, huge nose, most probably dark eyes, and a strong posture.

Let's take a look at history (not theology) to find a clear answer as to the origin of both the concept and the figure of the 'mother of God'. In Babylon, there already existed such a figure, with exactly the characteristics of the Mary everybody knows from the RC system, way before the mother of Jesus even existed. When India (the country) was being invaded with priests to bring their faith there, they miraculously foud that people in India already worshiped the same statue, before there had ever been a RC priest around! And in the Babylonic system of worship that mother of God was something like the mother of a child that was his own father(..).

What about the organization of the system?

The origins of the RC system lie in the first centuries AD, when people started to pervert the christian faith as it had sprouted out, as so called 'saint' Peter, the alledged founder of the RC system had already warned for and predicted: 2 Peter 2:1 "But false prophets were also amoung the people, as also false teachers will be amoung you, who will secretly (greek: conceiled, and by the side of others) bring in damnable heresies (greek: doctrines of destruction), and denying the master who has bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. And MANY will follow their destructive ways, by whom the way of truth will be evil spoken of".

What is 'denying the master that bought them'? Could it refer to the fact that Jesus sais 'who wants to be the most of you will be your servant', which is quite the opposite of having a power system that can easily compete with the rulers of the world system for its oppressiveness, exploitational character (who built all those expensive churches? People in the 'dark' middle ages spent their last money on trying to buy themselves salvation to pay for all that), and keeping people under bondage.

Jesus was tempted in final instance by being put on a mountain to see all the riches of the world from that time, and was told he could have all that if he would just BOW DOWN for the god of that world (system), satan. Evidently, he thanked for the honour, and quite evidently, the RC system has failed that temptation, and as a result of it is now at the very core of that world system.

Is it acceptable that people that have hardly enough food themselves spent their last resources on visiting a pope that does absolutely nothing but drive around behind bulletproof glass, doing absolutely nothing, and on top of that tell those same people to squirt out as many more little catholics as they possibly can, or be deprived of sexuality altogether? Is that the image of Jesus who freely walked around and healed people and set them free. Is openly breaking the first commandment by worshipping that which is created and bowing down for it by kissing the ground worshipping the God from the bible?

What about celibacy?

When it says in NT that those who want to attain for a position of bishop (term depends on translation) should be the man of one woman (greek : the one-woman type of man), it is clear that church leaders could not be required to live in celebacy. This is a more profound issue than I can deal with on this page, but in short it is also not very logical that leaders are determining in great detail the life of others, of which they are not allowed to be acquainted with very essential parts. "If you don't practice the sport, don't interfere with the rules".

So where does celibacy come from? Again this is a historic question, not a theological one, and the answer is simple: from the Babylonic system of worship where people were also drawn in a system with a lot of mysteries which were kept by celibate priests. Interesting to know is that in the Rome of about 1850, there were about 4000 babies born, of which 3000 (three quarters!) were foundlings. Probably celibacy didn't work that well.

The term "forbidding to marry" is also indicative of a cult in NT itself.

Assuming these statements are true (and they are quite verifiably so), I think it is impossible to maintain that the roman catholic system can sustain its claim that it is a faith as we can read about in the New Testament. It is even impossible to claim that it is a NT faith at all.
