Theo Verelst Diary Page

Latest: 31 january 2001

I've decided after good example to write some diary pages with toughts and events.

Oh, in case anybody fails to understand, I'd like to remind them that these pages are copyrighted, and that everything found here may not be redistributed in any other way then over this direct link without my prior consent. That includes family, christianity, and other cheats. The simple reason is that it may well be that some people have been ill informed because they've spread illegal 'copies' of my materials even with modifications. Apart from my moral judgement, that is illegal, and will be treated as such by me. Make as many references to these pages as you like, make hardcopies, but only of the whole page, including the html-references, and without changing a iota or tittel...

And if not? I won't hesitate to use legal means to correct wrong that may be done otherwise. And I am serious. I usually am. I'm not sure I could get 'attempt to grave emotional assault' out of it, but infrigement on copyright rules is serious enough. And Jesus called upon us to respect the authorities of state, so christians would of course never do such a thing. Lying, imagine that.

Excellent Java?

The applet I'l put on this page uses Java 1.1, I didn't make it, it's from 'dsptutor' affiliated with 'online university'.

You need a Java-enabled browser to view the applet.

Signal waveform expression:

Quitin' while its still good

Whitout knowing the music, these text still work, though I guess there were poets with even better sources, but with the music, this is gold.

Dead On Time

Words and music by Brian May

Fool always jumpin' never happy where you land
Fool got my bus'ness make your living where you can
Hurry down the highway
Hurry down the road
Hurry past the people starin'
Hurry hurry hurry hurry

Leave on time leave on time
Never got your ticket but you leave on time
Leave on time leave on time
Gonna get your ticket but you leave on time
Leave on time leave on time
Put it in your pocket but you never can tell

Leave on time leave on time
Shake that rattle gotta leave on time
Leave on time leave on time
Fight your battle but you leave on time
Leave on time leave on time
Never got a minute no you never got a minute
No you never never got oh no matter

Fool got no bus'ness hangin' round and tellin' lies
Fool you got no reasons but you got no compromise
Stampin' on the ceilin' hammering on the walls
Gotta get out gotta get out gotta get
Oh you know I'm goin' crazy

Leave on time leave on time
Gotta get ahead but you leave on time
Leave on time leave on time
Gotta head on ahead but you leave on time
Leave on time leave on time
You're runnin' in the red but you never can tell

Honey honey where's my money where's my money
Wanna get away wanna get away
Leave ya leave ya leave ya

Leave on time leave on time
Gotta get rich gonna leave on time
Leave on time leave on time
But you can't take it with you when you leave on time

Leave on time leave on time
Got to keep yourself alive gotta leave on time
Gotta leave on time leave on time
Dead on time
'You're Dead'

Queen, of course, and the reason for quoting it that I just couldn't get some alternative texts out of my head based on the same music. I'm not finished, but it sort of goes like this

Janus head, Janus head,
God I hate your motherfucking Janus head 2x

trickin' on the one side, trickin' on the other
never, never, never, never something in between

Oh, you got your marks and business while you can
Oh you got your plans your whores your riches while they want

As I said, I'm not finished, at least it is in line with sme of the empty reversed Queen stuff, unfortunately not on stage. 'Death on two legs' is worth remembering in that context, or killer queen, I even considered 'Bohemian Rhapsody' top again lately, as in the idea of the combination of music and lyrics. There's no specific person intended, thinking a bit in another place than where I was typing, I thought of some puchier versions.

Remember "I'm a liar", I saw the clip the other day. Music, text, clip, message even good stuff. Made me think about 'Devil went down to Georgia'.

I read it, it deserves quoting, poetry wise I'm not sure, the rythm goes wit the music, word wise this is hard to beat

Death On Two Legs (dedicated to ...)

Words and music by Freddie Mercury
Released as part of Queen's First EP
Highest UK Chart Position: 17 (10 weeks on chart)
from 'a night at the opera'

You suck my blood like a leech
You break the law and you preach
Screw my brain till it hurts
                                   You've taken all my money
                                       And you want more
Misguided old mule with your pig headed rules
                                With your narrow minded cronies
Who are fools of the first division

                                        Death on two legs
                                     You're tearing me apart
                                        Death on two legs
You've never had a heart of your own
Kill joy bad guy big talking small fry
You're just an old barrow boy
Have you found a new toy to replace me?
                                       Can you face me?
But now you can kiss my ass goodbye

                                   Feel good are you satisfied?
                                    Do you feel like suicide?
                                      (I think you should)
                                   Is your conscience all right
Does it plague you at night?
Do you feel good feel good?

You talk like a big business tycoon
You're just a hot air balloon
So no one gives you a damn
                               You're just an overgrown schoolboy
                                      Let me tan your hide
                                       A dog with disease
You're the king of the 'sleaze'
Put your money where your mouth is
                                         Mister know-all
Was the fin on your back
                                    Part of the deal? (Shark)

                                        Death on two legs
                                     You're tearing me apart
                                        Death on two legs
You've never had a heart (you never did) of your own
                                      (Right from the start)
Insane you should be put inside
You're a sewer rat decaying in a cesspool of pride
                                  Should be made unemployed
Then make yourself null and void
Make me feel good I feel good

It's about the ideas in it, I don't have a specific image in mind listening or reading, at least there's no emptyness in it, no never getting to the point, no never making things worth while, never taking chances, never even looking at honorable or even good things. One may also want nicer ways to get there, but at least these songs make a point clear.
