Some recent developments.

A email I sent to my former employer and a former university contact

I didn't get an answer yet, but at least I want everybody with an interest to be informed of my thoughts, so here it is, please comment, tell me I'm wrong, tell me I'm right, whatever you see fit.

An unexpected relevant analog synth thread

Mainly amusing, but relevant

A Cygwin compiler/UNIX env question

Just to have more possibilities of an answer: socket call failure.

Greek proposal

I've considered before to do a GUI on the greek new testament, for instance to create anotations , but since the Perseus is quite capable of directly dealing with many NT greeks words, I'm considering doing a Java script to go from greek ground text directly into the Perseus Scott/Liddel/Jones, and I could probably throw in a simultaneous link to the blue letter bible (for strongs). Anybody interested? It basically would mean one click to see a solid Grrek lexicon entry for each New Testament word.

Some recent responses to my net activity

Relevant responses already came in from Princeton University director (A.L. Lettieri, Communications Director, PEAR Lab), who used the words 'complex and interesting site', refered to a research centre and the 'society for scientific exploration' for possible further connections, and wanted to keep my email address on file for future reference.

Emu systems (major USA syntheziser company) answered they look forward to a email resume (I sent a very general message to a dozen or so destinations), which of course I'll sent them asap, but I have very limited internet access, even without the possibility of cutting and pasting from email files, unless I (sparingly) rely on the hospitality of a university department.

Akai sent a confirmation that they sent my email further to their (usa) engineering department.

All reponses were from people that sort their name under 'a'. I hope the rest of the alphabet follows, both because some of the subjects I want to raise, and because I am serious about the activities I want to persue, and the places I have preference for.

Some email I recently posted without getting a reply

Dear Reader,

This message is to inquire for the possibilities for working in some
of the areas of possible mutual interest.

I am an electrical engineer with university project exterience in
high end computer graphics hard- and software design and implementation.
I summed up my main interests and past activities on my internet
pages at:

These thus far generated the responses refered to above.

The next one is a dutch message to someone who lived in my (student) home, and knows one of te girls/women on my 'wanted persons' list, to be precise the one who took the effort of, in spirit, starting to inform me about her having had to deal with grave sexual abuse in her life. A the time she too lived in my house, I didn't even consider the possibility of such a horrible life, and as I started to take serous that what she communicated in spirit might actually be completely thuthfull, I could't trace her address anymore (see other pages for more accurate history). Anyway, it seems a reasonable request to ask for a pointer to someone I've lived with for several years and have regularly been out and even on holyday with. Some people seem to have different thoughts on that. Why?

No response yet (while the email didn't bounce on both addresses)...

Someone from Taiwan has worked fairly closely together with me on the graphics project at Delft University now has a (sub) director position in a taiwanese institute, where I've tried to get communication going again. Mind you that about 70 percent of his PhD thesis came into being with a very large portion of interaction with me. In fact a realy new idea to construct bounding boxes around polygons and bezier surfaces in three dimensional space by projecting them on a (virtual) hemisphere and representing the projected figure in spherical coordinates which can be given excact and fairly tight bounds, was completely mine. I even had to defend it, and without it, the graphics project would not have been able to continue delivering competative results, because its spherical coordinates based space partitioning would have been absent or very inefficient. Mind you, I didn't completely program and write out the results of this idea, but I nurtured it into actually working software and mathematical form by continuous and contentwise interaction.
Credits given? One line in the thesis acknowledgement section (guess th V ends up on the bottom part), and not even a further email response. Why ?

?
I have had previous replies from this address, and sent more messages, asking for information, but as soon as I get specific: no response... Not nice.

The next are responses from an aunt of mine, who at least provided reponse to unmistakably indicate that my inferences about possible family problems as one of the roots of my professional and personal experience are not not merely thin air. I hope she doen't mind me quoting her here, its about the only solid, tangible material I have to certify that not only I'm not nuts on a second look, but that the whole scheme around me was devised for reasons not originating in my person. Its kind of hard to apply for a job having nothing at all tangible to explain my current situation from. Sort of a credibility problem.
Sorry it's in dutch:

Hallo Theo,

Hartelijke groeten, tante Anke.

Hoi Theo.

Hartelijke groeten, Tante Anke.

Hoi Theo.

 Groeten Tante Anke.

This is also a real serious and informative and to the point letter exchange with my next of kin, my mother (who was involved in trying to get me institutionalized for being too much of a nutcase):

   https://members.tripod.com/~theover/index.html

Source.

Groetjes,

Mamma

In short I go out of my head to explain I want some real answers (the letter contains absolutely nothing except the means to have one month univerity computer access), and all I get back while not even having a place to stay, and still knowing nothing about all the affairs that have been taken out of my hands is that Texas Instruments has sent me a DSP demonstration CD that I ordered some time ago. At least something works...

More later.
