Theo Verelst Diary Page

I've decided after good example to write some diary pages with toughts and events.

Oh, in case anybody fails to understand, I'd like to remind them that these pages are copyrighted, and that everything found here may not be redistributed in any other way then over this direct link without my prior consent. That includes family, christianity, and other cheats. The simple reason is that it may well be that some people have been ill informed because they've spread illegal 'copies' of my materials even with modifications. Apart from my moral judgement, that is illegal, and will be treated as such by me. Make as many references to these pages as you like, make hardcopies, but only of the whole page, including the html-references, and without changing a iota or tittel...

And if not? I won't hesitate to use legal means to correct wrong that may be done otherwise. And I am serious. I usually am. I'm not sure I could get 'attempt to grave emotional assault' out of it, but infrigement on copyright rules is serious enough. And Jesus called upon us to respect the authorities of state, so christians would of course never do such a thing. Lying, imagine that.

Progress has been made! I got the sound library and a opengl graphics window to make my own windows application program with running string simulator in parallel with object picking and text feedback in the window, so that makes the project set to take of with working demo programs of completely unretarded nature.

What is radio?

Physical String Simulation in a window

The pa audio package let me do real time sound output, albeit with reasonably long buffer lenght in the standard setting of I think about 0.4 seconds, which is not good for instrument like playing, in fact quite impossible, but certainly for interacting with a simulator, and I think I could adjust the buffer size down, or maybe be smarter advance data in the buffer when needed, to keep windows smooth while having faster response. About 10 samples would be real good when some keyboard can be attached, but mayne a few tens of milliseconds would make excellent computer interaction in real time, if anyone would want that.

Anyhow, the first test runs, and I've put the sources and example executable and even the required cygwin1.dll and glut.dll in this
zip file. The archive is a little under half a megabyte in size, due to the included dll s, the sources are quite under 100k uncompressed, and the application is quite small after it was stripped, because it only contains the essence. Are those dll's shared and cached under windows? I'm quite sure not.

I found that it might be non trivial to download a zip file from tripod with explorer, though I'm not sure, then use netscape or type ftp://... to get it to download.

Of course as I have opportunity I'm off to do some real 3D stuff (actual 3D knobs and tiltable front panels?), make some real application (maybe a keyboard equiv, menus), efficiency try outs (a real time vibrating  graphical string set), and of course synth stuff (click to stroke a string, and maybe damp it, the other routines I have for instance additive synthesis and filtering), etc.

Radio

I found this article on radio, I saw by the radioparadise page: enlightening.

Just like some of the stuff on the atomic bomb, official pieces about it, even about or by some bush just after war.

In holland there has been a relatively popular radio station for decades, which when I was a kid had a boat to transmit its illegal subversive materials with into my am radio, because legal transmission permit wasn't an option at the time. If I'd have audio possibility I could do some voice examples when my throat is cleared, it seems they were always overall against certain things, though I'm sure s a whole not fresh enough to be taken as even near role models.

I met a few of their television makers some years ago, not that that in general means that much, I don't think it looks cool as a student to have their tv guide (they're not very neatly legal for years now) laying around, there are far better ways to feed ones' intellect, but as interesse in popular culture or what underlies it, it is valid, and the rest is of americal movies and interest in persons level, anyhow, some things that happened made me more than wonder. I don't want to go into detail now, but strange isn't accurate, and I'm sure its sensitive stuff, so I'll be carefull.

Recently they're doing things in line with what I've heard remark: that popular stars are made, including in the art scene, and that it is all one major deal machine to say the least: they've broadcast shows so way over bordering on spelling that principle out that I don't need to examplify that I can see other things in line with it without the need to defend my opinion.

Since that time, they suddenly had a name change, without announcement as I remember, from 'Veronica' (sound bited by many famous artists) into 'Yorin', which is most likely not out of commercial considerations. Not just illuminati ?
