I've decided after good example to write some diary pages with toughts and events.

Oh, in case anybody fails to understand, I'd like to remind them that these pages are copyrighted, and that everything found here may not be redistributed in any other way then over this direct link without my prior consent. That includes familiy, christianity, and othercheats. The simple reason is that it may well by that some people have been ill informed because they've spread illegal 'copies' of mymaterials even with modifications. Apart from my moral judgement, that is illegal, and will be treated as such by me. Make as manyreferences to these pages as you like, make hardcopies, but only of the whole page, including the html-references, and without changinga iota or tittel...

And if not? I won't hesitate to use legal means to correct wrong that may be done otherwise. And I am serious. I usually am. I'm not sure I could get 'attempt to grave emotional assault' out of it, but infrigement on copyright rules is serious enough. And Jesus called uponusto respect the authorities of state, so christians would of course never do such a thing. Lying, imagine that.

Sorry about the delay in my diary pages, better put the discontinuity, but I've been doing things. In fact I've just done some programming I had promised to do a long time ago. Basically, the program I wrote to compute the behaviour of a string after it is pulled now can be interacted with while its computing at high MIPS rating, pentium (currently Cyrix, actually) wise speaking. After the string displacements have been changed following the local tension computation in every string segment, in other words a new snapshot of the strings' excursion from the straight 'rest' postition has been computed, ther program checks for messages on its control connection, and when asked to do so will make the latest computed string 'state' available to a graph plotting tcl/tk script. In short, it is possible to periodically see the string moving after it has been plucked, in a way that still lets computations proceed at the fairly high speed they must be performed: my 133MHz PC takes seconds to compute sound samples of one second, unless I trim down the required accuracy, of course. When I get myself a fast pentium (clone) it should be about real time, so the sound computation could directly deliver CD quality synthesized physical-modeling sounds. And be completely controllable, thats the fun part.

Some pictures I've had for some time of the early balloons

I now want to get the technology a bit more developed, I've built a (IRFZ44 based) speed control for the new 20 Watt propellor motor, balsa wood for the mechanical suspension of  motor and rudder stuff, and some gearing stuff to try on a new height control unit. In fact I could buy a rc wrench (about $50) that would probably also do the trick of tightenig a rope around the balloon (see red ballon in picture), but I'll try something customized.The middle bottom inset shows the servo with empty tapereel and wooden wire suspender I used.

I took pictures at a live broadcast of 'nightsuite' a night time program on a popular dutch channel where there was live (model) painting and an interview with Gert.

I'l do more when at the Mac, Photoshop on the PC I can use at home needs carefully planned image operations, and I don't have the patience for that, now.

I'll dig up the collage, these I cut from another, which is to greasy to repeat here.

Yesterday I tried the mpeg-izer on a rolling stone song 'no expectations', and was able to get a 600KB file out of it, that sounded like sh* on my ppa, but still the ida comes across. I hope Meredith alias camgirl could do something with it (she asked for it). I'll probably send her some more, I think a song like that needs a good Hendrix counter part, as well, though I doubt there is playable sheet music of THAT, that does any justice to the music.
